In addition to the wicked cold temperatures, as much as four inches of snow could be expected for the city on Saturday night. Temperatures for the weekend will struggle to get into the double digits as well, creating a dangerous situation for anyone without heat or hot water.

The wicked winter weather this weekend will blow you away — or worse.
Bone-chilling winds of up to 60 mph will send the wind chill spiraling to minus-20 degrees on Sunday, creating potentially life-threatening conditions in and around the city.
Forecasters say Saturday won’t be much better, or much warmer, with the wind chill dropping to 5 degrees as snow starts falling over Manhattan.
“Dangerous is not an inappropriate word to use,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Tim Morrin. “That kind of wind chill is dangerous, and we anticipate that to last into Monday.”
In addition to the bitterly-cold temperatures and ferocious winds, up to four inches of snow is expected to blanket the area Saturday night.
